A study of website data, according to Charles Duncombe, suggests that a single spelling error can reduce online sales by half.

And he claims that the inability to find enough spellers implies that this sector of the economy is not as efficient as it could be.
According to data released by the Office for National Statistics last month, online sales in the United Kingdom total £527 million every week.
